BenQ to release world's first 19-inch LCD monitor with 12ms response time 11:38AM, Wednesday 12th May 2004
BenQ plans to release the world's first 19-inch LCD monitor with a 12ms response time next month, said Danny Yao, managing director of BenQ in Taiwan, at a product launch yesterday.

The company launched its second 17-inch model with a 12ms response time (FP783) at the event, and expects high-end LCD monitors to make-up 20 per cent of its total monitor shipments by the end of the year, up from 5 per cent now. BenQ plans to release six or seven high-end models in the second half of this year, which would make half of its LCD monitor offerings high-end models.

ViewSonic and Samsung Electronic will also launch 19-inch, 12ms response-time LCD monitors next month, according to the Chinese-language Min Sheng Daily.
